University officials say the Haynes Ring Plaza was spray painted around 3:50 a.m. with a message that read:
"Rape is inevitable may as well enjoy it - Clayton Williams," with two arrows pointing toward the Clayton W. Williams Jr. Alumni Center building.

"Surveillance footage of the individuals committing this act has been provided to the Texas A&M University police for investigation," said Kathryn Greenwade, VP of Communications and Human Resources.
The graffiti comes days before Aggie Ring Day ceremonies, an annual tradition where students and their loved ones gather at the alumni center to celebrate "achieving an academic milestone and receiving the most visible symbol of the Aggie Network: the Aggie Ring." Meanwhile, campus crews covered the graffiti with a tarp before cleaning it up. Eyewitness News Steve Campion is in College Station and will have a live report this afternoon.
