VIDOR, Texas (KTRK) -- Police in Vidor, Texas, say a 10-year-old boy who was upset at home led them on a high-speed chase before crashing.

The boy suffered only a broken arm and a fractured eye socket, police said.

The fifth-grader apparently took off in his mother's truck from home. Police said the boy then caught the attention of an officer when the truck ran a red light.

Police reported clocking the child at more than 80 mph.

The boy lost control of the truck and crashed. First-responders used the jaws of life to get him out of the wreckage.

Police didn't say whether anyone will face charges for the whole incident.
