U2 gives impromptu performance on NYC street

NEW YORK, New York -- It wasn't just your average band playing on a street corner in Chelsea. In fact, those walking by were shocked to stumble across one of the biggest rock bands in the world performing below the High Line - U2.

Bono, The Edge and his bandmates performed on 26th Street Friday afternoon after giving fans just 30 minutes notice on Facebook.

The Irish rock group was playing songs to promote their new album.
