Thanksgiving Day shopping: Which stores are closed?

Thursday, November 24, 2016
Shoppers who like to hit the stores on Thanksgiving Day will have less choices than in years past.

Dozens of big box retailers say they will be closed during the holiday to give their associates a chance to spend time with their families and friends.

One chain bucking the trend, however, is Macy's. Several locations have announced they will open earlier this Thanksgiving.

The shopping mall staple will open its doors at 5pm, an hour earlier than in 2014 and 2015, according to BestBlackFriday.com.

Meantime, Mall of America and a variety of stores say they'll be closed on Thanksgiving.
