LEAGUE CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- Police in League City are asking for your help in finding a 20-year-old stalking suspect who they say sent death threats to a 15-year-old girl and her family.

League City police consider Victor Ferman armed and dangerous.

The teen became acquainted with Ferman in 2022 over the social media app Snapchat after seeing a suggestion that Ferman may be someone she knows because they had a mutual friend, according to police.

"It started off, I believe, as a friendship, and they would message back and forth," Jose Ortega, the public information officer with League City police, said.

The course of their conversations took a turn when police say Ferman asked the girl, whom he had never met in person, for sex.

"He continued on saying, 'Well, if you're not going to have sex with me, then I'm going to rape you and force you to have sex,'" Ortega said.

The 15-year-old girl told police she blocked him so he could no longer contact her but said he made fake accounts to reach her. For months, she said he made violent threats, including death threats, against her and her family.

All of this came to light on Dec. 1, when police said Ferman broke her bedroom window at 1 a.m.

"(Investigators) learned of other instances throughout the last six months where Victor was coming to the property unwanted and uninvited," Ortega explained.

Police said because the victim had location sharing turned on in Snapchat, Ferman was able to find where she lived and even visited her home at least six times.

The teen told her mother about the threats at that point, and police became involved.

Ferman apparently sent the teen a photo of himself with a handgun and has made reference to his access to other weapons.

"It was somebody who the victim thought was a friend of a friend, so she thought it was going to be OK, but turns out that now this is somebody who's a predator or somebody who is looking to make somebody a victim," Ortega said.

A warrant was issued for his arrest out of Galveston County in early December, but police have not been able to find him.

They described Ferman as being homeless with ties to Pearland, Houston, and League City. He reportedly graduated from Pearland High School two years ago.

"Our detectives have been in contact with his family and have been requesting their assistance with locating him, and we haven't been able to do so thus far over the last few weeks," Ortega said.

Ortega said Ferman does have a juvenile record, but nothing as serious as the current allegations.

There is a possibility Ferman has other victims, according to police, so they suggest that parents show their children his photo to ensure they have not encountered him as well.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Detective Bell at 281-554-1904 or League City Police Department at 281-332-2566. Police caution the public not to approach Ferman.
