Officers rescue woman from sinking car in Australia

SYDNEY (KTRK) -- Police officers in Australia arrived in the nick of time after a woman's car went into a local river.

Several officers swam toward the sinking vehicle and were able to pull the woman out just before her car sank beneath the depths of the waterway.

According to investigators, the woman was involved in a domestic dispute before the incident and may have been on drugs. She was then taken to the hospital.

One officer was injured during the rescue.
