Power restored to 3,300 Sugar Land customers

An area along Highway 6 from Southwest Freeway to near Bellfort is in the dark, but crews are working to restore service.

SUGAR LAND, Texas (KTRK) -- Electricity was restored to homes and businesses in the Sugar Land area after several hours Friday morning.

CenterPoint Energy reported dozens of customers along Highway 6 between the Southwest Freeway to near West Bellfort Drive were in the dark.

Around 3,300 customers were impacted by the outage, which was resolved just before 8 a.m.

There was no word on a cause.
