First Colony Middle School students raise money to build water well in South Sudan

SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- Dozens of sixth-graders at First Colony Middle School participated in a walkathon last Friday to help build a water well in South Sudan, Africa.

One of the major problems in the country of South Sudan is the access to clean water.

The students walked a total of three miles during the fundraiser.
