Suspect arrested after crashing stolen HFD vehicle

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A suspect is in custody after crashing a stolen Houston Fire Department medical vehicle in southeast Houston.

According to HFD, the vehicle was stolen just before 4:30 p.m. in the 6600 block of Weston while paramedics were inside a building responding to a call for assistance.

The suspect eventually crashed near Goforth and Yellowstone.

Authorities have arrested the suspect but have not yet released that person's identity.

There were no patients in the vehicle at the time it was stolen, according to HFD.
