Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, about the incident at 8 p.m.

According to Gonzalez, two motorists were arguing outside on the road when a third driver struck one of them.

The sheriff elaborated on what took place. According to his preliminary information, the victim, or alleged at-fault driver, hit the back of a vehicle. Both drivers got out, and an argument ensued, which escalated into a physical altercation.

He added that a third vehicle and possibly others hit the at-fault driver. The person behind the wheel of that additional car remained at the scene.

The sheriff's office didn't immediately say whether the victim was hit intentionally or by accident.
