HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The latest RodeoHouston Mutton Bustin' champion is so cute, he stunned even himself.

Raul Cortez, of Houston, was able to hold on really tight as his sheep bound across the contest field at NRG Stadium.

Cheers erupted from the crowd of 65,011 people as Raul fell somewhere in between the herd.

All that excitement kept Raul from giving up his Mutton Bustin' secrets to contest host Patti Smith.

As the post-victory interview got underway, Raul just so happened to see his adorable self on the jumbotron.

Patti tried her best to block his view of the big screen with a sheet of paper.

"My dad...I was...my dad...um," the 5-year-old Raul uttered.

Kids say the darndest things.
