GREENVILLE, SC (KTRK) -- A state trooper in South Carolina was dragged in a dramatic traffic stop.

The incident happened in December, but the dashcam video was just released.

A female trooper stopped Brian Saunders, 38, on the highway in Greenville County.

She found out that the vehicle Saunders was driving was stolen, and when she approached him to take him into custody, Saunders pulled away.

The trooper was dragged by Saunders' vehicle for a short distance. But that didn't stop her from trying to get him.

She got back in her cruiser and was able to catch up to Saunders and hit his car.

The suspect was arrested for attempted murder and stealing the car.
