Segment 1 - Dr. Laura Murillo talks about her meeting with the Donald Trump transition team just before President Trump's inauguration. Dr. Murillo was one of several Hispanic leaders from across the country who attended the meeting to voice the concerns of the Latino community, including immigration and Trump's plan to build a wall along the U.S. - Mexico border. Dr. Murillo is the President and CEO of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Segment 2 - A discussion on the voting rights controversy in the city of Pasadena. City Councilmember Cody Wheeler and City Council candidate Oscar del Toro give their thoughts on the Fifth U.S. Circuit of Appeals decision ordering the city to amend its voting system to one using all single-member districts for the upcoming May election. A lower court judge had previously ruled the older system diluted the Hispanic vote.

Segment 3 - Linda Flores Olson previews the Houston Hispanic Forum's 31st annual Career and Education Day which aims to give career guidance to high school students from 74 area school districts. The organization's primary goal is to lower the Hispanic dropout rate. The event is one of the largest of its kind in the nation.

Segment 4 - A profile of Lourdes Jimenez who was selected to receive Spring Branch ISD's "School Bell Award" for her work with students and families in need. Jimenez and Angelica Adams are with Communities in Schools, one of the nation's most successful dropout prevention programs. Jimenez is credited with helping to save the life of a troubled student going through a personal crisis.
