As we observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we speak to Celinda Guerra, manager of hotline services at the Houston Area Women's Center, about some of the warning signs of an abusive relationship and the steps abuse victims need to take to escape. Segment 3 - Dr. Gabriella Cardone discusses the health impact of asthma on the Hispanic community. According to research, Latinos are three times more likely to die from this chronic respiratory illness than any other ethnic group or race. Dr. Cardone is a pediatric emergency medicine physician with UTHealth and Children's Memorial Hermann. She says socioeconomic factors play a major role in asthma's impact on Latinos.
