Seven years ago, working mom Blanca Beltran would rush her kids to their soccer practices in the evenings and watch them play.

"I knew I needed to workout but didn't seem to have the time, so I just thought, I'll see if I can make it happen during this time," recalls Beltran.
Beltran would run the fields and workout during soccer, and she'd get some looks.
"I really thought, 'Wow, this lady's a little crazy.' She's doing all these hand stands and exercises, and doing them by herself," remembers Tricia Avila Moss.
But then, Avila Moss joined in.
"Instead of waking up at 4am to workout, you can workout while your kids are practicing," she says.

Cynthia Galan also started exercising.
"I found myself not finding the time to work out, so when she'd go run, I would join her," says Galan.
"Slowly but surely, one mom joined in, then another mom joined in," explains Beltran.
Beltran is now a personal trainer and owns New Brand Fitness. She says all moms can do what these Pearland moms are doing. Just keep it simple. Use the fields to jog and do walking lunges. https://m.facebook.com/newbrandfitness/
"I really like incorporating the benches by doing pushups, but even doing step ups, doing tricep dips. I also like doing plyometric moves, as well," adds Beltran.

Beltran also recommends keeping a mat with you for body weight exercises.
"I want everyone to be healthy and strong not just for themselves but for their family," she says, which is why these women don't mind sweating on the sidelines.
"We do get people who look at us like I used to look at Blanca...but actually I don't mind it now because I know it's good for me and my family," says Avila Moss.
