"Adidas, the past few years, has been pretty much owning the game and before it was like Nike and Jordan," said an employee at the store.
Sneaker enthusiasts say status has a lot to do with what's on your feet.
Right now the hottest shoes are a pair of Yeezy's and they could set you back $600 to $700.
Customers say they don't mind spending the big bucks as long as they stand out.

"I just like to stand out, so if my feet are looking bright, it must be right," said one customer.
Beware -- the rise in sneaker culture also brings sneaky scammers.
