Silver Alert issued for missing NW Houston man

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities have issued a regional Silver Alert for a missing 71-year-old-man last seen earlier this week in northwest Houston.

Perry Larkins was last seen Tuesday around 12:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of Storm Creek Drive. Larkins has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and has other medical conditions, according to the Texas Center for the Missing.



Larkins is a Black man, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown suit, brown dress pants and brown dress shoes. He was also seen driving a 2012 red Nissan Frontier pickup truck with Texas license plates 45086D.

The Houston Regional Silver Alert System is administered by Texas Center for the Missing, and is designed to help locate missing elderly diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's. The program is a cooperative public service effort between local law enforcement, news media outlets, business partners, and the public.

The Houston Regional Silver Alert covers the Houston-Galveston 14-county region, including Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Walker, Waller, and Wharton counties.

Only a law enforcement agency can issue a regional or state Silver Alert. If your loved one is missing, please contact 911 immediately.
