Silver Alert discontinued after missing 78-year-old man reunited with his family in Dickinson

DICKINSON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man reported missing from Dickinson has been located and reunited with his family, according to police.

A Silver Alert was issued Thursday for 78-year-old Dan Oakes, who had last been seen Wednesday.

Dickinson police discontinued the Silver Alert just after midnight Friday, and later provided the update that Oakes was reunited with his family.

Police did not say where Oakes was found.
