Study: Being in a relationship can change your taste buds

Friday, September 15, 2017
If your palate has changed over the years, it might be because of your significant other.

A study in the journal "Appetite" suggests couples may develop more similar food tastes the longer they're together. The authors of the study couldn't explain why, but they believe it has something to do with couples sharing meals together.

There may be a biological tie, too. Previous studies have shown the more similarly two people smell the world, the more likely they are to be compatible.
