SAN ANTONIO, TX (KTRK) -- The suspect in the San Antonio police murder got married after the attack and before his capture, and new video just released shows him arriving at the courthouse with his bride.

San Antonio suspect got married after attack

Otis McKane, 31, is accused of shooting and killing detective Benjamin Marconi Sunday. A marriage license shows he married Christian Chanel Fields Monday. The video shows the couple arriving and going through the metal detectors. Both are dressed fairly casually, with McKane wearing a cap, bright-colored shirt, shorts and sneakers.

McKane was arrested around 4:45pm Monday in San Antonio.

Security cameras show McKane coming to the police station around 7 a.m. Sunday, asking to speak to someone regarding a child custody issue, police said. When the service agent was trying to help McKane, he "seems to lose interest and exit the building," documents said.

He then left and got into a car parked across the street, the documents said. The same vehicle passed Detective Marconi twice, according to surveillance video.

Video inside the police car captured two shots being fired as Marconi was preparing a traffic ticket.

"This was obviously a carefully placed contact type gunshot displaying the suspect's intention to execute Detective Marconi," an affidavit reads.

The videos show noticeable rims on the suspect's vehicle, officers said. A witness saw the video of the car, recognized the rims and called police, identifying the suspect as well, police said.

Possible confession from San Antonio suspect

While being walked out of the police department Monday, McKane said he had gone through several custody battles and "lashed out at someone who didn't deserve it."

When asked if he had anything to say to the family, he said, "I'm sorry."
