According to HPD's Lt. Larry Crowson, officers with the Humble Police Department spotted a stolen vehicle and tried to pull the driver over.
The suspect did not stop but released a woman from the passenger side and continued driving, Crowson said.
Humble PD and Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable's Office requested a Houston Police Department helicopter to look for the suspect, who was believed to be armed.
Crowson said that the suspect vehicle drove the wrong way on the northbound feeder road from Rankin and collided with a Kia at about 7:30 p.m.
The driver of the Kia, who was only identified as a woman, was taken to the hospital, and the suspect was arrested.
Eyewitness News was at the scene, where the road was closed from Greens to Rankin.
Police are still determining what criminal charges the fleeing driver will face.
