World Cup and Reliant signs go up as NRG Park prepares for name change this summer

Old NRG Stadium signs went down in April, and on Friday, SkyEye13 captured temporary FIFA signage and new (but familiar) Reliant Park signs going up.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Just days away from the start of the FIFA World Cup, signage at Houston's major stadium is going up.

The stadium is currently called Houston Stadium due to FIFA's rules on corporate branding and will later revert to its former name, Reliant Stadium, after years as NRG Stadium.

SkyEye13 was over the stadium on Friday as new FIFA World Cup signs were posted. Other new signs were gate markers that read "Reliant Park."

In April, officials confirmed that the stadium and park would revert to Reliant Stadium ahead of the Texans' new season.
