2 injured after METRO patrol unit on call collides with car, woman ejected, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A METRO patrol vehicle was involved in a major crash that left a woman and a girl injured on Tuesday evening, the METRO Police Department said.

According to MPD, the patrol unit was on its way to assist with traffic control when it struck another vehicle in the 3500 block of Navigation Blvd. at North York St. just before 6:10 p.m.

The driver of that vehicle was ejected and taken to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries, police said. A juvenile passenger was also hospitalized, with non-life-threatening injuries.
