HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman has been arrested and is now facing felony charges after police say she helped kidnap a man at gunpoint outside of a southwest Houston nightclub.

According to police, it happened on June 1 along South Gessner Road as the victim was leaving a club and preparing to call an Uber.

Investigators say the victim was instead forced into a vehicle at gunpoint and taken to a house, where he was robbed and assaulted.

Police identified one of the suspects as Carmen Gamboa, who was arrested earlier this week.

According to investigators, Gamboa was part of a group that pulled up in a vehicle outside the club that night.

While the victim said he was planning to grab an Uber, Houston police confirmed the suspects were not Uber drivers or affiliated with any rideshare service.

The victim told ABC13 that another woman remained inside the vehicle while a man stood near the club's front door. He said that the man forced him into the vehicle after showing him a gun tucked underneath his shirt.

Court documents state that after kidnapping the victim, the suspects demanded he hand over any cash and assaulted him.

According to the documents, the suspects then took him to a house, where they stole his phone, identification, bank cards, jewelry, and clothes.

The victim was able to escape.

While Gamboa is now behind bars, Houston police say they are still searching for the remaining suspects.
