The leak was spotted on Rushcreek near Northborough in front of an apartment complex.
ABC13 visited the area and observed water flowing into the streets, with crews beginning to close off the area and dig up the pavement to address the issue.
A woman familiar with the area spoke to ABC13 and said this leak has been an ongoing issue for at least a week. The leak is located in a known pickup-and-drop-off zone with steady traffic, she said.
