Roadway reopens following hazmat crash near Hockley, Waller County Sheriff's Office says

WALLER COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A car crash involving hazardous materials closed lanes in the Hockley area on Monday afternoon, the Waller County Sheriff's Office reported.

Officials said all lanes were shut down near the intersection of Magnolia Road and Macedonia Road.

The sheriff's office advised all drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and worked to resolve the situation safely, officials said.

The sheriff's office later said the roadway reopened around 3:30 p.m.
