Officials said that when deputies arrived on the scene, they found a woman stuck in a car that was wedged underneath a truck, and they began to help her.
First responders managed to get the woman out of the car, and she was taken to a hospital, authorities said.
"She remained calm and alert throughout the rescue." Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said of the woman in an X, formerly known as Twitter, post.
Sheriff Gonzalez said that drivers should continue to expect delays because two westbound main lanes on 290 remain closed.
