Tree snaps in half in SW Houston apartment parking lot, landing on at least 3 cars, images show

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Crews are working Monday morning to remove a tree that snapped in half in a southwest Houston apartment parking lot.

Skyeye was over the scene at Beechnut and Frankway in the Meyerland area at 10 a.m. as crews began cleanup.

It's unclear what made the tree snap or how much damage it caused, but ABC13 video showed at least three cars underneath the tree.



ABC13 spoke to a woman who said two of the cars belonged to her and her son. She said the tree snapped in half Saturday night.
