Toddler dies after being found unresponsive in swimming pool in northeast Harris Co., HCSO says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A toddler is dead after being found unresponsive in a pool in northeast Harris County, the sheriff's office said.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, deputies responded to the 500 block of Lago Trace Drive on Sunday around 6 p.m. in the Huffman area.

The toddler was found in a swimming pool and was rushed to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.

Officials did not say how old the toddler was or the child's gender.

Gonzalez said the investigation is ongoing.
