The stabbing happened just before 7 a.m. Monday, when HPD said the employee, who had just arrived at work, was found stabbed inside her car on the fifth floor of Garage 1 at TMC near Fannin Street.

As investigators combed the scene, the woman's cellphone was also missing.

The discovery prompted a lockdown for parts of the hospital's campus and a search for the suspect. The following morning, HPD released images of a person of interest and asked the public for help identifying him.

The Houston Police Department released images of the suspect on Tuesday morning.

Green was arrested on Wednesday, according to a post made by HPD.

He is expected to make his first court appearance on Thursday, court records said.
