At this time, the dashboard shows 0 Ebola cases in Harris County and that the risk remains low; it also shows that 17 current travelers are being monitored.
"What I can tell the community is that the risk to the public remains low, and we are working around the clock to ensure that Harris County is prepared," Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo said. "I hope this dashboard will help folks feel more at ease about what's going on, and we're ready to welcome fans from all over the world to our community in a couple of weeks for the World Cup!"
The dashboard will be updated every Wednesday with the latest data.
The Houston Health Department director, Dr. Theresa Tran, said the dashboard is "part of our ongoing commitment to collaboration and transparency in public health."
