BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) -- From spirituals to soul, jazz, and hip-hop, a local group in Baytown is closing out Black History Month with a powerful celebration of the African American musical journey.
This year, there will be more than 20 performances showing the beauty of Black music and its influence across genres.
Event Producer Paulette Denies joined Eyewitness News at 9 a.m. live on Friday morning. She said this year, a portion of ticket sales will fund scholarships for students in the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District.
The event will be on Saturday, Feb. 28, at Robert. E. Lee High School at 5 p.m. Tickets are still available.
