Man followed, robbed by thieves after returning from poker game in west Houston, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department is searching for two suspects accused of robbing a man inside a hotel in west Houston earlier this month.

Officials said it happened in the hotel's lobby on Aug.1, just before 6 a.m. in the 5300 block of Westheimer.

Police said the two suspects entered the lobby and went to the elevators, where they located the victim.

Officials said that the victim had just returned to the hotel after winning a large sum of money at a private social club in the 6100 block of Westheimer.

The man was forced to the ground by the suspects with an unknown object before they made away with his belongings.



Surveillance video from the hotel lobby showed the suspects running from the lobby and into a waiting white four-door sedan that sped off.
