The suspect, identified by deputies as 32-year-old Adrian Abreu, was booked in the Harris County Jail.

Deputies said Ruiz and Camarillo were found dead with gunshot wounds at the complex along FM 2920 near Ella.

Investigators said Abreu was in a dating relationship with Camarillo and may have been an acquaintance of Ruiz.

Deputies said the incident began when Ruiz showed up at a woman's apartment, which frightened her. The woman called a friend to keep herself safe, and Abreu arrived and got into a fight with Ruiz, officials said.

The fight ended with Abreu shooting and killing Ruiz and Camarillo, deputies said.

HCSO said Abreu is facing a manslaughter charge in Camarillo's death. He is also being charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon, according to deputies. A grand jury will determine if he will also be charged in Ruiz's death, authorities said.
