On Monday, officials held a press conference to announce the arrest of Brian Blaine. Pct. 4 says Blaine was allegedly in communication with a 13-year-old girl whom he told he wanted to "kiss" and meet up with her, according to court records.
Pct. 4 said that the 13-year-old's mother initially reported Blaine to police about him sending inappropriate text messages to her daughter, launching the investigation
Officials said that is when an undercover officer posed as the teen and continued texting the suspect, who agreed to meet up for sex. Blaine was then arrested near a local elementary school after attempting to meet up with the teenager, authorities said.
He is currently in custody on a $200,000 bond, officials said.
It was found that Blaine lived in Grogan's Mill Villages out in the area and would give children candy anytime he came across them. Officials said the children in the neighborhood would use his home as a hangout spot.
Court records show that Blaine has been charged with online solicitation of a minor.
Precinct 4 said they believe Blaine has other potential victims and are asking anyone with information on the case or who knows the suspect to reach out.
