HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A chase suspect faces multiple charges after authorities said he led officers on three chases throughout different parts of the city before running into a home on Tuesday, the Houston Police Department said.

The situation unfolded in the northeast part of Houston at about 7:10 a.m. HPD officers were dispatched to a gas station on IH-69 Eastex and Crosstimbers, where they learned a man had been threatened by another man with a 2x4 piece of wood, and his vehicle was stolen.

Officers began searching for the victim's vehicle and initially found it in the northeast part of the city, but after a short chase, they lost sight of the suspect. Shortly after, the vehicle was found in a central part of town, prompting a second chase, but the suspect got away. The suspect was spotted for a third time in southeast Houston, sparking another chase in which an officer used a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle.

Following that, the suspect fled on foot into a home, but came out shortly and was taken into custody, police said.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately released, allegedly has outstanding warrants for aggravated robbery from Randall County, as well as a Texas Parole warrant, and will face additional charges of aggravated robbery and evading arrest in a motor vehicle, as well as others, HPD Capt. Jonathon Halliday during a press conference after the chase.
