ABC13 saw dozens of lawn chairs set up outside the Galleria Mall by watch enthusiasts who have camped out since the beginning of the week. The limited edition watch isn't expected to go on sale until Saturday morning.
The Swatch store inside the Galleria is one of 21 stores that will carry the watch.
According to the Audemars Piguet website, the collection brings together creativity and audacity with haute horlogerie. Inspired by Pop Art, this collaboration reinterprets Royal Oak's iconic codes through a disruptive pocket watch, available in eight models and designed to be worn in multiple ways.
The collab also draws inspiration from AP's Royal Oak collection, launched in 1972, and from Swatch's POP watch, which debuted in the late 1980s.
The watches' starting prices will range from $400 to $420.
