New York City-based a cappella group Six13 recently released their new hit titled "Chanukah." And it sounds a lot like another popular pop song on the radio.

Yes, the group decided to parody Taylor Swift's Grammy-nominated single "Shake It Off" with Hanukkah-themed lyrics.
The meat of the song tells the miracle of Hanukkah:
- "Back in 160 B.C.E.
Lived Judah Maccabee
His army was so weak
But they still beat the Greeks
Supply of oil wasn't great
But a miracle took place
It burned for 8 whole days
It burned for 8 whole days"
And then the chorus erupts into a rejoicing and catchy celebration:
- Cause we're counting up to eight, eight, eight, eight, eight
We escaped an awful fate, fate, fate, fate, fate
We're gonna celebrate, -brate, -brate, -brate, -brate
It's Chanukah, Chanukah!
No shaking off the haters in this version. The group sings about eating latkes, making dreidels and lighting candles:
- The candles gonna burn, burn, burn, burn, burn
And the dreidel's gonna turn, turn, turn, turn, turn
Got some history to learn, learn, learn, learn, learn
For Chanukah, Chanukah!
The song might finally give Adam Sandler's "The Hanukkah Song" some real competition.
The group even has holiday e-cards featuing the song on their website. You can send yours by clicking here.
