Court records show that Cruz Guerra Nolasco is accused of running a red light and slamming into a family of four at an intersection at Main Street and Wallisville in Highlands in November 2025.

On Tuesday, a Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department spokesperson told ABC13 that Guerra Nolasco remained in jail despite online jail records showing an Aug. 13 out date.
Officials say he will stay in jail until space frees up in the residential treatment facility he's been ordered to check into.
Records show Judge Hilary Unger sentenced Guerra Nolasco to 10 years' probation for his third DWI offense on Aug. 4.
Guerra Nolasco was previously convicted of DWI in 2016 and 2019 but was never sentenced to more than a month in jail.
