"Yeah, yeah, it's a great feeling," Montgomery County Sheriff cold case detective Fadi Rizk said. "These things can span months or even years."
Rizk said Galvan was first reported missing out of Spring in January 2020 after becoming a victim of sex trafficking.

ABC13 heard from Galvan's mother, Robyn Bennet, in 2020 as she searched for leads in his daughter's disappearance.
"Please help me find my daughter; she has got to be somewhere, somebody knows something. Somebody knows something," Bennet said.
Weeks after Galvan went missing, partial human remains, we now know to be Galvan, were found in Missouri City.
But the attorney general's office said it wasn't until 2022 that Missouri City tapped the state for help identifying her, and they began building a DNA profile.
Rizk said in 2025, the Doe Network, a group aimed at helping identify missing people, reached out and said using that DNA profile, they believed the missing teen Rizk was looking for was the unidentified body from Missouri City.
"DNA is 100% the way to rule it out," Rizk said.
Six years later, Galvan has been found. Because Rizk and Montgomery County were only part of the missing person case, Ruiz couldn't speak to why it took so long for Missouri City and the state to figure out their unidentified body was Galvan.
The attorney general's office said Galvan's death is still an unsolved homicide, and that they are seeking tips and information connected to her death.
ABC13 reached out to Missouri City police and is awaiting a response.
