HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a driver is on the run after fleeing the scene of an accident in northwest Houston, leaving behind a woman and a baby in his car.
The accident happened overnight on Emnora Lane and Peppermill Road.

The driver, woman and baby were all in a Kia that swerved into oncoming traffic, slamming into a Toyota.
Officers say the driver of the Kia took off, leaving his passengers behind.
The woman suffered a broken hand. Fortunately, the baby was not hurt.
The driver of the Toyota was taken to the hospital in critical condition with a shattered pelvis.
