Cement truck driver injured in crash that shut down I-69 NB, Rosenberg police say; lanes reopened

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Rosenberg police said a crash involving an overturned cement truck along the Southwest Freeway left a driver injured on Wednesday morning.

Houston TranStar shows the incident was reported at about 5:16 a.m. along I-69 northbound at FM-360/Spur 540 in Fort Bend County, resulting in heavy delays for early morning commuters.

SkyEye flew over as crews worked to clean up the crash, which was cleared at about 9:40 a.m., according to TranStar.

Police said the driver of the mixer was taken to the hospital with a head injury.

It's unclear at this point what led the truck to overturn.
