HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Officials say one person was killed in a major crash in the Meyerland area Monday morning.

SkyEye flew over the wreck, where a truck had landed on the concrete embankment of Brays Bayou near N. Braeswood Boulevard.

An officer at the scene told ABC13 the driver was going at "a good rate of speed" before he lost control and hit a pole. The impact reportedly caused his truck to lose control, come off the road, and crash into the embankment.

The person who died has not been identified, and authorities are still investigating the crash.
