New Corvette can spy on valet workers

Tuesday, August 19, 2014
For those who worry about the valet taking their supercar on a joyride, General Motors has a solution.

Owners of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette can opt for a feature that records where the car goes with a camera mounted in the windshield trim.

It also captures audio in the cabin as well as speed, engine revolutions per minute, gear position and G-force - all to prevent a high-speed valet cruise like the Ferrari one in the 1980s cult film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."

It's the most extensive joyride protection system yet.
