Motorcycle road rage turns into shooting on I-69 in Rosenberg

The Rosenberg police department is asking drivers to avoid the area if possible as investigation begins.

ROSENBERG, Texas (KTRK) -- A motorcyclist was shot Friday in what authorities believe was a road rage incident on I-69.

It happened near FM 2218 in Rosenberg in the northbound lanes of the freeway.

The incident involved two motorcycles, Rosenberg police said. The northbound main lanes had to be closed while investigators worked to find out what happened.

The victim was awake and breathing when they were taken to a hospital, police said. There was no word on any arrests.
