Mom shoots 13-year-old son during argument in north Harris County neighborhood, Pct. 4 says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A mother was detained after she shot her 13-year-old son, according to a social media post from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's office.

Investigators say the shooting happened in the 1000 block of Ranch Oak Drive in the Remington Ranch neighborhood.

Pct. 4 said they received a call reporting a fight between the mother and son in their home at about 5:30 p.m. As authorities were on their way to the scene, they say they got a second call reporting that the child had been shot.

The constable says the child was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he remains in stable condition.
