Missing 10-year-old found by K-9 in NW Harris County, confirmed safe, Precinct 4 officials say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities said a missing 10-year-old boy was found after a K-9 successfully tracked and located the boy in northwest Harris County on Monday.

According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office, deputies were searching for the missing child, identified as 10-year-old Bryan Tate, in the 13000 block of Thorn Valley Drive on Monday afternoon.

Officials said that K9 units and drone teams were brought in to assist in the search and that there was a heavy law enforcement presence in the area.

Investigators later shared an update, saying that a constable K-9 named Hades successfully tracked and found Tate within just 10 minutes on the ground.

Tate was found hiding in a wooded area, according to deputies. Officials confirmed that Tate is safe, calling it a "positive outcome."
