Massive water coaster construction seen in Galveston

Galveston will soon be home to the tallest water coaster in the world.

GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- SkyEye HD flew over the construction site where a massive water coaster is being built in Galveston.

The water coaster is located at Schlitterbahn Galveston Island in the 2100 block of Lockheed.

According to a release provided by the park, the attraction will be called MASSIV, after the German word for massive. The park says the coaster will set a new record for height of a water coaster and will be built by Schlitterbahn and WhiteWater West.

It's scheduled to open this summer.
