HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A man was hit and killed in a hit-and-run incident in east Harris County, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Gonzalez said the pedestrian was stuck while crossing Woodforest Boulevard in the 12600 block at about 8 p.m. Friday.
According to investigators, a white Ram pickup truck struck the victim in the second westbound lane and failed to stop and render aid.
The man sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
The case remains open and under investigation, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.
