HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after Houston police said a robbery led to a shootout downtown on Monday.
The Houston Police Department said the victim was shot in the head and drove a few blocks away to Texas and Milam Street, before first responders found him and took him to the hospital in critical condition.
The person who shot him, who police say was the one who tried to rob him, got away.
Witnesses told police that more than 10 shots were fired. Investigators said the victim was also armed, and a shootout broke out during the attempted robbery.
